Patient Background
Species: Canine (Bichon Frise) Sex: Male Age: 6 Years Weight: 6.9kg
Chief Complaint
Two weeks prior to presenting at the clinic, the patient suddenly developed a hunched back posture, began shivering uncontrollably, and emitted loud cries. Immediate medical attention was sought, and subsequent MRI examination confirmed degenerative changes in the T13-L1 and L2-L3 intervertebral discs, along with multiple protrusions affecting the T12-S1 discs. The patient took oral painkillers and initially showed improvement, but subsequently, the effectiveness of the medication gradually decreased.
During a follow-up examination, a detailed neurological evaluation revealed that the affected dog exhibited significantly reduced hindlimb supporting ability. The dog was unable to maintain hindlimb support during urination, showed a mildly arched back posture, and presented with hindlimb ataxia while walking.
Diagnosis
Calcification of the T11-T12, T12-T13, and L1-2 intervertebral discs.
Knee Joint : Left Patellar First-Degree Dislocation, Right Patellar Second-Degree Dislocation

Results
Visit 2: Walking on a smooth surface improves hindlimb stability.
Visit 7: Enhanced hindlimb support strength, palpation revealed reduced thoracolumbar pain.
Visit 11: Hindlimb support strength further improved, joint mobility significantly increased, gait notably improved.
Visit 12: Reduced kyphosis, pain response further alleviated.
Visit18: Proprioceptive response showed progress compared to previous sessions.
Visit 28: Substantial relief of lumbar pain, walking speed significantly increased, stability notably enhanced, bilateral hindlimb support strength significantly improved.
